Navan Civic Space

The area proposed for a civic space is structured around a series of modest interventions. A new tree lined street is formed, on the upper level, along the northern edge of the site. The trees screen the rear elevations of the buildings that front to the space. A new inclined plane is established at the eastern end, balanced by a grove of trees and seating to the west. These three elements in turn define the extensive paved area, or plaza, dominated by a series of tall light structures that addresses the retail edge of the enclosing street, along the southern edge of the site.
