St Mullins Exhibition

The project was a collaboration between the fourth year students of architecture in UCD and members of the local community of St. Mullins. The students undertook the design and construction of a new exhibition to house an existing collection of artefacts accommodated in an old church, one of several chapels located on the site originally settled by St. Moling in the 7th century AD. The exhibition is constructed around ten separate story lines that document various aspects of local history. Together they weave into one narrative the complex interplay of landscape, infrastructure, inhabitation, culture and community that detail the making of a place and the lives of those who have lived in it.
